I know what it’s like when your body doesn’t cooperate, when pain or overwhelm makes even simple movement feel impossible.

Portrait of Christine, yoga teacher and mindfulness meditation guide.

Hi, I'm Christine — I guide people into yoga that feels like a hug for your body and calm for your mind.

I work with people who live with pain, nervous system overwhelm, or bodies that don't always behave the way they're "supposed" to. There's no pushing, no gold-star poses, and definitely no pretending everything's fine. We move mindfully, pause when needed, and pay attention to what your body is actually saying — often with a bit of humour along the way.

I came to therapeutic yoga through my own challenges with reproductive pain, migraines, and a perpetually overwhelmed nervous system. Finding mindful, supportive movement transformed how I relate to my body — and eventually led me to train with Celia Roberts at BIYOME, where ancient yogic wisdom is integrated with contemporary biomedical science and evidence-based research. I primarily practice Hatha Yoga but am also trained in Iyengar, Kundalini, and Compassion practices, drawing on whatever approach best serves each person's needs.

Outside of the yoga mat, I'm a mother of three boys, a wife, a lover of slow mornings and a dusty sunrise, the smell — and feel — of a real book, and a cup of tea on a rainy day. Waterfalls captivate me, poems entrance me, and time spent in the bush or by the sea make my heart sing.

If you're looking for a space where you can feel held, understood, and maybe even have a laugh or two, you're in the right place.

Born and bred in Gladstone, I'm grateful to bring this work back to my hometown.

How I work

I offer small, supportive classes that are adapted to the people attending. Movement is mindful and functional, with props used from the outset to support stability, ease, and choice. Rest is an essential part of the practice, and each session is paced with care, responding to individual needs and capacities.

If you are living with acute or ongoing pain, I ask that you let me know before joining a class.
In some cases, beginning with a private consultation can provide more individualised support and help ensure the practice feels safe and appropriate for you.

This approach supports the gradual building of strength and mobility, and can be especially supportive during periods of recovery from pain, injury, or postpartum change, while fostering a sense of calm, safety, and hope over time.
