I know what it’s like when your body feels unfamiliar, when life transitions leave you restless, tense, or unsure how to move.

Portrait of Christine, yoga teacher and mindfulness meditation guide.

Hi, I'm Christine — I guide people into yoga that feels like a hug for your body and calm for your mind.

I work with people navigating change — whether it’s a shift in your body, your energy, or your daily life. There's no pushing, no gold-star poses, and definitely no pretending everything's fine. We move mindfully, pause when needed, and pay attention to what your body is actually saying — often with a bit of humour along the way.

I found my way to therapeutic yoga during periods of life transitions, when my body felt uncooperative and my nervous system was stretched to its limits. Finding mindful, supportive movement transformed how I relate to my body — and eventually led me to train with Celia Roberts at BIYOME, where ancient yogic wisdom is integrated with contemporary biomedical science and evidence-based research. I primarily practice Hatha Yoga but am also trained in Iyengar, Kundalini, and Compassion practices, drawing on whatever approach best serves each person's needs.

Outside of the yoga mat, I'm a mother of three boys, a wife, a lover of slow mornings and a dusty sunrise, the smell — and feel — of a real book, and a cup of tea on a rainy day. Waterfalls captivate me, poems entrance me, and time spent in the bush or by the sea make my heart sing.

This is a space to slow down, listen to your body, and move in ways that feel nourishing. We’ll notice, pause, and sometimes even laugh a little — because mindful movement doesn’t have to be serious all the time.

Born and bred in Gladstone, I'm grateful to bring this work back to my hometown.

How I work

The heart of my approach is helping your nervous system feel safe, so your body and mind can relax. When safety and support are present, tension begins to release, movement often feels easier, and you can reconnect with your natural rhythm at your own pace.

Classes are structured to honour your body’s needs. Movement is mindful, functional, and adaptable, with props offered from the start to provide comfort, stability, and choice. Rest is an integral part of the practice, giving your body time to absorb and respond to each moment of movement.

If you’re managing ongoing pain, recovering from injury, or navigating bodily changes, a private consultation, or free discovery call, can provide personalised guidance and ensure your practice feels safe and supportive.

The goal is not just strength or flexibility — it’s to cultivate ease, calm, and confidence, so you can move through your day with less tension and more freedom.
